DEPUTY DIRECTOR, LAND VALUATION, – THREE (3) POSTS - V/NO. 117/2016
Duties and Responsibilities
An officer at this level will be responsible to the Director, Land Valuation and will be in charge of the various sections within the divisions. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
(i) assessing and managing stamp duty valuations for revenue generation;
(ii) developing automated and updated valuation database throughout the country;
(iii) conducting research on market trends to inform land valuation policy formulation and review;
(iv) keeping an asset register of values of all properties owned by government; and
(v) monitoring and evaluation of valuation activities.
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
(i) at least fifteen (15) years cumulative service, three (3) of which should be at the grade of Assistant Director, Land Valuation (Job Group ‘P’) and above or in a relevant and equivalent position in the Public Service;
(ii) a Bachelors Degree in either Land Economics, Estate Management or its equivalent
qualification from a recognized institution;
(iii) been a full member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) Chapter of
Valuation and Estate Management Surveyors;
(iv) attended a strategic leadership course from a recognized institution; and
(v) shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Note: Possession of a relevant Masters degree from a university recognized in Kenya will be an added advantage
